The Track Family Fun Parks in Branson
We stopped at one of The Track Family Fun Parks locations that is home to the Branson Ferris Wheel! This Ferris Wheel has quite the history as it was originally Chicago’s Navy Pier Ferris Wheel. First built in 1893, at 264 ft with 36 gondolas and 2,500 lights, it was America’s answer to Paris building the Eiffel Tower.
The rebuild in 1995 made it the focal point of the newly renovated Navy Pier. At this point, it was 150 ft with 40 gondolas and 16,000 lights which is the same size it is today in Branson.
The move of the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel happened in 2016 when it became The Branson Ferris Wheel, a ride that gives you some of the most amazing views of the entertainment strip as well as the Ozark Mountains.
At night there is a fantastic light display at the Branson Ferris Wheel. To make it happen the wheel has 16,000 LED fixtures holding over 144,000 individual lights and each light can be individually controlled. Talk about a stunning light display! Check out Christmas Show from 2016 – doesn’t that make you want to go?!
The Branson Ferris Wheel Fun Facts
- 240 people can ride the Ferris Wheel at the same time!
- The Ferris Wheel is taller than 20 Shaqs, 8 giraffes, and 5.5 tour buses!
- It weighs more than 65 space shuttles! Oh my heck!
- The wheel spins 100 revolutions each day!
While I highly recommend riding The Branson Ferris, there is SO much more to do at The Track Family Fun Parks! Between the three locations, there are seven go-karts tracks that each offer a different experience. I put on my big girl panties (or so I thought) and hit the Heavy Metal Highrise at Track 4. Let me tell you…

Heavy Metal High Rise is 4 stories tall and I hit the brake every time I reached the three-tiered slope that takes you back to the ground. I was lapped by the same person at least twice and I’m pretty sure kids on the Kiddie Go-Carts were going faster than me. No joke. It was a ton of fun though!
Another thing I really enjoyed was the bumper cars at The Track Family Fun Parks. Great way to take out a little friendly spousal aggression that results in laughter instead of tears. We both got some great hits in and I forgot how much fun bumper cars are, even as an adult!

My favorite thing at The Track Family Fun parks Branson wasn’t open the day we were there because it was just before the season really starts in Branson. That thing is the Skycoaster! A 100 ft tall swing that combines elements of skydiving and hang-gliding. One, two, or three people can ride as you soar through the air at 70mph.
Back in the early 90’s when we visited my grandma, I rode it. I have the VHS to prove it, along with the fact that my little brother got all the way to the top and then chickened out. He couldn’t pull the ripcord, which you do on your own, so back down we went and back up I went with one of the instructors. I still laugh about it and I can still remember the thrill of the fall because that’s a rush you won’t forget!
Other rides and attractions that you can find at the three locations include batting cages, laser games, bumper boats and even an arcade! Track 4 where we stopped is home to a NEW state-of-the-art arcade with lots of different games and some pretty sweet prizes. Yes, that is my husband once again playing basketball just like he did at the World’s Largest CiCi’s Pizza in Branson.
You could spend a day at The Track Family Fun Parks and never get bored. With things to do for kids and adults, it’s a place you have to put on your must-do list when visiting Branson, Missouri!
