Food Trucks: I Want Me Some Food From a Truck

There is something about food on a mobile vehicle. The delicious smells traveling for blocks and the unique eats you can stuff your face with. We are finally seeing more food trucks pop up in Council Bluffs and Omaha. I have yet to try any of them but that better change soon!

Island Seasons Mobile Food Truck
Serving up Jerk Chicken, Island Beef, Island Juice and More. They have recently been spotted at Lucky Bucket, Thomas Jefferson High School, Sergeant’s and other hot spots in the metro.

Check out the Island Seasons Mobile Food Truck Facebook Page and Island Seasons Mobile Kitchen Blog to find out about their latest events.

Localmotive Food Truck
Made from scratch meals like Gyros, Steak Frites, BLTS and even desserts from The Chocolate Bar! Looks like their menu may change seasonally so we will have to see what Fall brings.

Check out the Localmotive Food Truck Facebook Page and  Localmotive Food Truck Blog for their daily schedule.

Brotato’s Food Truck
BBQ and the Brotato are what you will find. What is a Brotato? A 1lb potato with butter, cheese, Brotato’s gourmet seasoning, and your choice of any one of their smoked meats!

Check out the Botato’s Food Truck Facebook Page to see where you can find them.

Ty’s Amazing Food Truck
Enjoy Cajun and New Orleans Dishes plus good ole’ hamburgers and hot dogs. I visited New Orleans a few years ago and I think this will have to be one of the first trucks I find!

Check out Ty’s Amazing Food Truck Facebook Page and Ty’s Amazing Food Website to see what they are up to.

The Barbecue Barn Food Truck
Wrap your hands around a Pulled Pork, Barbecue Brisket Sandwich, or Turkey Legs! You can usually find them in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby by Goodies Gas Station..

Check out the Barbecue Barn Food Truck to stay up to date on the happenings.

Dos De Oro Food Truck
If you are looking for Mexican Food – this is your truck. Tacos, Burritos, and other favorites with tons of topping choices. Sounds like you can find them at 33rd and South 24th Street.

The 5 Buck Lunch Truck
You can find their daily menu on the The 5 Buck Lunch Truck Facebook Page and you can find them in at the O’Reilly’s on Harlan and Galvin in Bellevue, NE.

Bomb Digs Food Truck
Italian and Asian Fusion are on the mobile menu but it looks like they are off the streets right now. With lots of hungry followers waiting hopefully we can line up soon!

Check out the Bomb Digs Facebook Page and Bomb Digs Blog for all the things Bomb Digs.

If you know of a Council Bluffs or Omaha Metro Food Truck that isn’t listed, I would love to know about it! Drop a comment below and I will add it to the list.
