Looking for something to do in the Omaha Metro Area this weekend? Enjoy some Family Fun at Fontenelle Forest during the 2014 Nebraska Science Festival on April 26th & 27th! Part of this year’s Nebraska Science Festival includes FREE Admission to Fontenelle Forest on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th, between 8AM and 5PM!
Guess who will be there?! Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street! They will be greeting children and families during the afternoon and you will have the chance to take photos with them! There will be a variety of bird-themed, educational events from 1PM -5PM that you can participate in the include presentations by the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery.
Did you know that nearly 250 species of birds have been recorded between Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and Neale Woods? Everything from grets to ospreys, and cuckoos to kingfishers are among those species and it is one of the premiere birdwatching spots in the Omaha Area. Check it out this weekend if you haven’t yet!
